4 Then he said to me, "Prophesy over these dry bones these words, 'Dry bones, hear what Yahweh says. 5 Lord Yahweh says to you: " 'I am now going to breathe into you, and you will live again! 6 I will attach muscles and sinews to you. I will make flesh grow on you. I will cover you with skin. I am going to breathe into you, and you will live again. And you will know that I am Yahweh.' "
The Bones Come Together
7 So I prophesied as I had been told. And as I was prophesying, I began to hear a commotion. Behold! It was the clattering of these many skeletons coming together, bone to bone! 8 And as I kept watching, muscles and sinews miraculously appeared! Flesh grew on the bones, and then skin wrapped completely around them, yet there was still no life-breath in them. 9 Then Yahweh said to me, "Prophesy to the breath. Yes, prophesy, son of man. Say to the breath, 'Lord Yahweh says: Divine breath, come now from the four winds. Breathe on these lifeless bodies, so that they can live again.' " 10 So I prophesied as he had told me, and the breath entered their bodies. They came alive, got up from the ground, and stood to their feetโa very great, immense army. 11 Then he said to me, "Son of man, these bones represent the entire house of Israel. They keep saying, 'We are as dry as these dead bones. Our nation has been completely destroyed, and we have lost all hope.' 12 "So, prophesy to them, 'Lord Yahweh says to you: Behold! I am now going to open your graves! My people, I will resurrect you out of your graves and lead you home to the land of Israel. 13 And when I open your graves and raise you up, then, my people, you will be convinced that I am Yahweh. 14 And I will put my Holy Spirit within you, and you will live again. I will resettle you on your own soil. Then you will know that it is I, Yahweh, who spoke to you, and I do what I say. I, Lord Yahweh, have spoken.' " Ezekiel 37:4-14 (TPT)
On the last day of our eighty day journey, I feel like prophesying in spirit and in truth!
Using "Thus sayeth the Lord" is not normally my thing, but on today, He says:
"My people, I am resurrecting you out of your graves. I am calling you forth. I am loosing you from your grave clothes. And you WILL know that I am Yahweh, that I am the Lord, that I am God. And I will put my Holy Spirit within you and YOU WILL LIVE AGAIN!"
I hear a wind, a wind that carries the fire of the Lord. Fire is falling. The church WILL burn again. Will burn with purity and passion. The dross has been removed in the oven of this past decade, and the body of Christ WILL come forth shining as gold!
Wow. How do I even follow that? With shaky knees and trembling lips, I'll try.
Sunday, the devil was telling me lies. "That fire isn't real. You didn't feel anything in Church. You've been extinguished. You're dead inside, not alive."
But God.
As I wrote yesterday's entry the night before, something got a hold of me. I heard RATTLE by Elevation Worship as I finished the entry.
And I knew.
That's what's going to take me out.
Bones may feel dry, but they make great kindling.
Burn, baby, burn.
My Jesus, my Lord and Savior, who knows the end from the beginning, gave me the layup for today's final postโthree days ago. Sounds like resurrection to me! I wrote a poem, "Dancing on an Empty Grave."
All right guys. Let's salsa on satan's head:
Dancing on an Empty Grave
Dancing on an empty grave
The world can't tell me how to behave
Headed for an empty tomb
from his mother's womb.
My Jesus lived, died and rose on the third day
Because of that I'm living a new way
Death can't stay
Sin, go away
Every day I will say
Thanks to the Father
Son and Holy Spirit
There's a fire
And it's a pyre for the old me
Today, death must take a knee
'Coz I am unbound
My freedom resounds
Nothing can box me in
Jesus came with a reckoning
His love burst in my heart
And I have a brand new start
Drip, drip, drippin' with oil
Dip, dip, dipped in the river
Spirit flowing, not just a sliver
But high and wide
Deep and long
Now you know, know my song
I can sing it, never wrong
His love overcame my walls
Now I'm running down the halls
Halls that lead the way to life
No more sorrow
No more strife
I'm alive
Abundantly
and more abundantly.
Ladies and gentlemen, my story and song are not over. It's only just begun. I've loved this journey, I've loved sharing it with you. Be encouraged. And more than that, be brave for Jesus. For his kingdom.
Jesus is on the line, and he's calling you. Pick up the phone. Let him tell you what he wants. Warning: He only wants everything.
In the tradition of the denomination I got saved in, the Presbyterian Church, I leave you with this:
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heav'nly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!
Ahhhhhmen. Ahhhhmen. Ah-ah-ah-ah-men. (IYKYK)
Thank you for walking this 80-day journey with me. How has God been resurrecting dry places in your own life? Share your story in the comments below.
