Inside the Confessional

“Fulfill your obligations as a citizen. Pay your taxes, pay your bills, respect your leaders.” Romans 13:7 (MSG)

I’m not Catholic, but I do have a confession to make. It’s the start of April. Tax day is the 15th. Have I done my taxes yet?

Sadly, the answer is no. More procrastination. And here, the Word is speaking specifically to taxes!

God has his finger on me, and I’m unwell.

I know, I know, it’s all out of love.

God chastens those he loves.

Like me more, love me less, Abba Daddy. Respectfully.

Just sayin. Nothin’ but love for you, tho.

Today’s coffee is superb. And I was the first one in line. God blesses me when I don’t deserve it. Especially then, I find.
